Something Different

Illuminate

Lately, I have been thinking about photographing subjects differently. I used to always photograph in a very "2D" way, everything was flat and directly in front of the viewer. At times that can be good, and often the easiest way to learn. However, this shoot was intended to gaze past the 2D eyes visualizing the force that the energy of the sun has on living things. Why is there a sense of refreshment and relief when we sit and sunbathe for hours? Why do we smile when the sun comes out after a long gloomy week? Why do we decide to spend time off away from home to go to a tropical heat sensation of a location? It fuels us.

I think humans carry similar energy that the sun does.
